About Lake Mburo!
The smallest of Uganda’s savannah national parks is Lake Mburo. Its name is taken from Lake Mburo, one of the park’s major lakes and possibly its largest. In addition to its animals, the park is renowned for its older Precambrian metamorphic rocks, which, according to geologists, date back more than 500 million years.
While visiting Mburo, keep an eye out for its inhabitants, which also include enormous elands, zebras, buffaloes, giraffes, oribi, Impalas, warthogs, waterbucks, and leopards (though they can be difficult to notice). Numerous hippos, otters, and crocodiles reside in the park’s lakes, while the shores conceal the elusive sitatunga. Species including the yellow warbler, African fin foot, and saddle billed are available for birdwatchers.
The main mode of transportation is by road.
What to do: Go on a game drive (during the day and at night), take a boat ride, take a park (bush) stroll, go on a horseback safari, have a forest walk in the neighboring Rubanga Forest, and go cycling inside the park.
