Overview

Kibaale Forest National Park is one of the top safari places in Africa for chimp trekking safaris, with the most primates and the greatest diversity in East Africa. Within its 795km2 land area, there are 13 kinds of primates, including chimps, as well as the most magnificent and diverse tracts of tropical forest in Uganda. The forest dominates the middle and northern parts of the park, particularly on the elevated Fort Portal plateau. Kibaale, located at the park’s northernmost extremity, is the highest point at 1590m above sea level.

Kibaale National Park is famous tourist destination in Uganda for tracking chimps. Since 1993, chimp tracking has been conducted throughout the park, with 90% success rate. Chimpanzee habituation exercises, nature hikes, and bird viewing are among popular tourist activities.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival and Transfer.

Meet on arrival and transfer to the hotel for dinner and overnight

Day 2: Drive to Kibaale Forest National Park
Day 2: Drive to Kibaale Forest National Park

After breakfast, drive southwest to Kibaale Forest National Park travelling through lovely countryside and tea gardens as you reach Fort Portal town. You will stop for lunch at Mountains of the moon in Fort Portal before continuing on to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Chimpanzee Tracking

After breakfast, chimp tracking experience. Other primate species that may be observed throughout your chimp tracking adventure include black and white Colobus monkeys, red colobus monkeys, and other bird species. locally made lunch, and after lunch continue game viewing and bird watching.
Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight

Day 4: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest for Gorilla Tracking Experience

Early morning breakfast, depart to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. This park is located in the country's southwest and is home to more than half of the country's remaining population of mountain gorillas. their exquisite agricultural terraces. lunch in Bwindi lodge. Afternoon at leisure
Dinner and overnight at the lodge

Day 5: Gorilla Tracking

After breakfast, packed lunch, a briefing and orientation on how to behave before and after your gorilla tracking adventure. You will then be divided into groups. The guide will bring you through the jungle to track gorillas.
Back to the Lodge for dinner and night stop

Day 6: Drive back to Kampala

After breakfast, drive back to Kampala; you will stop at the Equator for pictures and lunch before continuing on to Kampala.
Dinner and overnight at the Hotel.

Day 7: Departure

After breakfast, proceed to the airport for departure.
